Poor Endometrium
Fetus is carried in the uterus throughout the pregnancy and has three layers- innermost, middle and outer layer. The innermost layer is Endometrium. A thick, healthy and blood rich endometrium is important for normal menstrual cycle and successful pregnancy. Healthy endometrium is crucial for effective implantation of fertilized egg into the uterus.
Estrogen hormone is an important factor to keep the endometrium thick and blood rich. Lack of Estrogen causes poor or thin Endometrium. Minimum 8 mm thick Endometrium is considered as satisfactory, less than which is poor endometrium.
